Our vaccination policy is can be summed as the following: Every attendee, including staff, must present proof of vaccination at TAP during their registration process. Being that the situation with Covid is constantly evolving and new science and data points are coming in and changing often, we feel the need to reserve the right to add additional protocols if we feel they are needed. With that said, as of Thursday, Nov 25th here is where we are:

TAP 2021 Vax Authentication and Mask Policy

  • TAP 2021 is and will be a Vax Only Event.
  • Masks are very welcomed but not mandatory

Proof of Vaccine Requirements

When checking in at our registration desk, you will be asked to show proof of vaccination. Accepted forms of proof are limited to: Vaccination Card, Vaccine Passports aka QR Code, Clear photo of you with your vaccination card.

Competitions & Masking:

Prelims:
Please absolutely wear masks whenever you feel the desire or it makes you more comfortable to mitigate your risk acceptance level.

Finals:
We will randomly sort partnerships shortly before walking onto the floor for finals. You will be given a couple minutes to communicate with each other to see if either of you would feel more comfortable with masks. The options we see are 1) Wear Masks the Entire Time or 2) Wear masks the entire time other than the actual spotlight. We require that if either partner feels more comfortable, the other partner complies.

We’re aiming for a clear and straight forward protocol and making sure everyone who wants to wear masks feels extremely accepted and comfortable to do so. Please help us in those efforts!

The below ‘Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver’ will be presented during your online registration process, all attendees will be required to accept this policy and agreement before registering.

Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver

Attendee understands the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at the Event may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of the event organizers, staff, volunteers, the undersigned (“hereinafter referred to as the Attendee”), and other attendees. By signing this agreement, the undersigned acknowledges the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assumes the risk that they may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by participation at the Event; and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death.

Attendee also understands and agrees that, by participating in the Event (located at The Hilton Hotel – Irvine), there is a possibility of physical injury or death. Attendee voluntarily agrees to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to myself (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that I may experience or incur in connection with participation at the Event. Attendee agrees to herby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless the Event, the entity that puts on the Event (including its managing members and independent contractors) and individuals that put on the Event, the Event’s staff and volunteers, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto.
